Switches can be integrated into the NCP Controller through several supported methods, including the ONES Telemetry Agent (for SONiC-based switches), gNMI, SNMP, sFlow, and REST APIs. These mechanisms enable real-time network monitoring by streaming telemetry data and providing aggregated operational insights.

The ONES Telemetry Agent is specifically designed for SONiC switches and facilitates high-resolution telemetry collection for enhanced visibility. Other platforms, such as Cisco and Arista, can be onboarded using standard protocols like SNMP and sFlow.

In addition to protocol-based integration, NCP also supports third-party inventory and network source-of-truth systems, such as Cisco Nexus Dashboard and NetBox, enabling automated synchronization and streamlined device onboarding.
