# Upgrade VM

## Upgrade Process

* To upgrade any VM (QCOW or OVA)
  * Download the ONES installation package
  * Follow the [Steps to upgrade](https://aviznetworks.gitbook.io/ones-4.0/ones-ga-v4.0/getting-started/ones-installation/installing-ones-application) the ONES to the New Version

VM packages do not support upgrades from one VM to another VM\
once the VM is deployed in the network, then the ONES tar-ball file can be used to upgrade it.
